Lu-Ann Farrer’s New review for Appalachian Folk:
A new Web site has been launched that is is focused on “trying to preserve Appalachian culture through story telling.” AppalachianFolk.com invites authors to submit their stories, whether “true or fiction.” Photo submissions are also welcome. According to a press release, AppalachianFolk.com is the project of Christy H. Sweeney, a daughter and granddaughter of coal miners, who was raised in Fort Gay, West Virginia and Louisa, Kentucky. She is now an attorney in Lexington.
